Our dog loves this park! Wide open spaces, gravel paths, a swimming pond, and several friendly dogs that come to visit. Ankeny did a great job at planning this park by separating areas for larger/smaller dog breeds and by giving ample space for pets that may be nervous with interactions. The water fountain that has a doggie fountain attached is great for warm days! The park is kept nice and clean because owners police each other in cleaning up after the animals.

Love this dog park! It does require a license for your dog that you can get at a nearby Hy-vee. Both large and small dog sections have a walking trail. Big dog area has a separate fenced in pond. Everything is always well taken care of and loaded with supplies (water, dishes, and poop bags). We are there all the time we love it so much!

Well-maintained park with friendly dog owners. Could use more parking - it's a popular park. There is a walking trail around the perimeter and a separate pond for swimming.

Always a nice place with very nice pet owners. It would be great to add a pet obstacle course.

Open area great to run and play. With great pond for swimming in the summer. Provides doggy bags and a trash. In the summer also provides a water fountain for thirsty pups. Wish there was a dog park on the north side of ankeny.
