This park is my favorite one to take my daughter too. There is a lot to do for kids. They have 3 different playgrounds in different areas. There are things for young kids and the older ones. I've seen equipment be closed for maintenance so it is nice to see they maintain it. My daughter loves this park!! There are also ducks here at the little pond area.

Clean park. Nice playgrounds for small and bigger kids. Playgrounds have better designed structures than most parks. The lake is on the cleaner side of other park lakes i've been to. Lots of ducks and saw a small turtle. They have baseball fields and large grass areas. Covered and uncovered seating areas. Public restrooms. We went on a Sunday and it was busy with lots of families but we still had fun.

I only visit the dog park there with my two big dogs, but the rest of the park looks well kept. They have two big enclosed spaces. Overall it's a good place for your dogs to run and socialize. However! .... The dog fountain is broken and leaks which has created a muddy puddle that doesn't dry up in the first enclosure so be prepared to bathe them afterwards. There are rarely poop bags, you should definitely bring your own bags. And lastly, my biggest issue is that the enclosures are right next to the road, if your dog decides to scale the fence or somehow get out of the enclosures and run up the little hill onto McDowell there is a good chance of them getting hit.

Nice, clean local park. They have a small stocked pond for fishing, soccer fields, baseball field, and several playgrounds for the kids to exhaust themselves on. And for the gamer, there are Pokestops and gyms here. Ingress portals are plentiful, and there are several missions here. Also a mine in the game DeltaT is here now.

I coach soccer for the city of Avondale, and this park is almost always kept in good repair. They recently renovated the playgrounds, a splash pad, and they have a dog park as well. Most Avondale city sports run at this park. The only downside is that the bathrooms are not always kept in the best state of cleanliness/repair.
