We have stayed here twice now. This is a nice campground located next to Kings Dominion amusement park. There are shuttles that go from the camp store to the park. I believe they go evety half hours. The campground is relatively dark. There are two bright LED street lights that we saw while walking around so you might want to ask to not be placed near a light when you check in. The bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. The staff is nice and you can request a certain campsite.

It's amazing the amount of beautiful trees they have remained on the property. So many other RV parks have chopped every single tree down. This park is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. We only stayed a night as a lay over and in March, so I have nothing else to share but I wanted it stated and respected how beautiful the trees are here.

We stayed here for two nights. The park is rustic, and has a much older section. We were in the newer section. We were parked on dirt and gravel, no patio or grass. The power towers and water were one for two sites, with each having your own septic. Now here's the problem with the tower and water. If your to the front of the tower and water (meaning the backside of you unit was near them) you were good. However if you had it with tower and water at the front side of your camper, you'd need a long water hose and power cord. The do have premium sites, but all it has is a concrete pad to park your camper on, no patio as far as I can tell. The water here has a tendency to be yellow looking. The roads you come in on are paved, but only big enough for one vehicle, if you meet someone on the camp road, someone will have to backup. This KOA is near Kings Dominion theme park, you need to make reservations especially in the warmer months. Here's one thing I don't understand. This is a KOA, yet if you buy something in the campstore you won't get a discount. But if you have a Kings Dominion park pass you get a discount.

Been here twice. Stayed in cabins both times because we were on vacation. First time was in the summer. It was fantastic that they shuttle to the park. Clean camp sites and very helpful staff. The second visit was in December. Cabin was cold 60 overnight and we could not get it any warmer. We asked staff about it and they said it was because of the unusually cold weather. They did offer extra blankets. Even tho it was in the 20s, we still wanted a fire. Firewood is on the honor system so when we would grab a bundle, we'd pay the next day because they were usually closed when we got back to camp. The staff was always very nice and helpful.

First time staying at a KOA, over all it was a great place to stay. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all questions. I stayed in a cabin and was very happy with it. Website says it can fit up to 10 people, we were 5 adults and 1 toddler, so it was comfortable but not more, lots of tall people in the group so the loft wasn't a great experience but once settled in it was nice. The bathrooms were nice sense there are 2 of them but the doors I don’t like at all. The locks, very cumbersome to use if you have kids try not to have them lock the bathroom door as it’s a little difficult to unlock them as a little force is needed to unlock and slide the door open. The onsite shuttle is a great benefit if your going to Kings Dominion, either walk to the shuttle pickup or drive to the spot and park and ride, they run from open to close of the park, and run about every 15 minutes. Pool was not open when I went but was told it opens 5/27 wish it was open when I went because it was HOT! 95 was the temp on my visit. The drivers were helpful and friendly! Over all very happy with Kings Dominion KOA and will be back as we are season pass holders to Kings Dominion. We also save 10% at the onsite store for passholders so a plus there.
